Ingredients:
2 1/4 Cups all purpose flour
2 /14 Teaspoons ground ginger
1 Teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 Teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 Teaspoon salt
1 1/4 Teaspoon baking soda
3/4 Cups unsalted butter, room temperature
1/2 Cup granulated sugar
1/2 Cup packed light brown sugar
1 Egg
1/3 Cup fancy molasses
For rolling cookies - 1/2 C granulated sugar 

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 F
2. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper
3. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves salt, and baking soda.
4. In a separate bowl, beat butter 1/2 C granulated sugar, brown sugar, using a stand mixer or hand mixer, until fluffy (about 3 minutes) 
5. Add egg and molasses until combined.
6. Beat in flour mixture to butter mixture on low.
7. Scoop 1 tablespoon portions of dough, roll into a ball and roll in granulated sugar to coat.
8. Arrange dough balls 2 inches apart on baking sheets.
Bake until edges slightly browned on edges, about 10 minutes
